Caille Brothers | Apollo Muscle Test
This machine is an interesting arm wrestler. The player stands on the platform and pushes Apollo’s arm to the left. If the regular way of playing the game thwarts the player, he is able to cheat by putting his left knee on the side of the cabinet and pulling the arm over instead of pushing it.
This popular machine is richly detailed with gold pinstripes in an elegant design. The large cast iron base gives the machine a great presence, and also enables the machine to work properly without tipping over. This elaborate carved homage to the Olympic Games features the initials CB (for Caille Brothers) on Apollo’s chest. The dial on the machine is a fine original design of both typography and style. The machine is topped off by a slight three- dimensional sign with extruded text that reads, ‘Apollo Muscle Test,’ Caille Brothers logo is on each side.
